The president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, approved a series of activities of the evangelical Christian church in the country for the coming years.

During a meeting with pastors held in Puerto Cabello, in the state of Carabobo, the Head of State gave the green light to the granting of the so-called Pastors' Bonus to 20,000 spokespersons of the evangelical Christian church in the country, who join those that already exist. “They propose to incorporate 20,000 new pastors - I have to give birth to the resources - to those who are already benefiting from the bonus we grant; well, God will provide, so I approve the incorporation so that the seed can multiply,” he said.

In the same vein, the Head of State specified that the entire agenda proposed by the country's evangelical Christian community and requested by the prophet Dan Suárez is “approved”.

He explained that special activities will be held for Friday, Saturday and Holy Sunday. “On Good Friday, the seven words of the Lord will take place in all Bolivar squares, on Glory Saturday the national fast and on Resurrection Sunday the Lord's Supper (the Holy Supper), in the country's temples”.

President Maduro instructed Nahum Fernández, head of government of the Capital District, to carry out these activities, as well as to coordinate the visits of different bishops who will visit the country, including David Ogú (Kenya) on April 3rd in Diego Ibarra Square, as well as the apostle Guillermo Maldonado who will be at the Simón Bolívar Monumental Stadium on April 28 and 29.

He also declared the month of May as the month of the Christian family and the 15th of that month as Family Day. “I also approve the month of evangelistic activities and days at the Polyhedron of Caracas and the visit of Apostle Paul Ameh from Nigeria (...) In October, we will support the March for Jesus in 220 cities with more than four million women and men,” he said.
