The Venezuelan government, through the Foreign Minister of the Republic, published a letter sent by the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, in which it repudiates the systematic violation of treaties and agreements by the United States by subjecting Venezuela to a whole chain of hostile actions that have as a corollary the threats of a military invasion.

We share the letter sent by President Nicolás Maduro to the UN Secretary General, Antonio Guterres, in which he strongly condemns the unprecedented threat facing our region and reaffirms the need to respect the principles of the UN Charter, as well as the sovereignty, territorial integrity and political independence of Venezuela,” wrote the Venezuelan diplomatic representative, on his Telegram account.

It should be noted that the Venezuelan Head of State asked the highest authority of the United Nations system to intervene to urge the government of the United States to “put an end to all these hostile actions and to respect the sovereignty, territorial integrity and political independence of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela”.
