President Maduro: Capitalism and the IMF will never return to Venezuela!

This Tuesday, July 23, the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, assured that the model of wild capitalism and the International Monetary Fund (IMF) will never return to Venezuela to harm the people.

“Whatever the extreme right, savage capitalism and the IMF will not return to this country, and they will never return to this country. Here we want peace, tranquility and economic development,” said the National Executive during the Working Day with the Grandparents and Grandmothers of the Fatherland within the framework of the Plan More Years, More Love.

In that sense, he recalled everything that Venezuela experienced during the Fourth Republic, when the governments of the time plunged the people into misery and took away their social rights, because they were subordinated to imperialism and its wild and liberal capitalist model.

“But they underestimated a People,” he said, referring to the events of Caracazo, when the People woke up to express their rejection of the neoliberal model, he in turn indicated that more than 30 years after those events, “here we are standing, firm, victorious, seeing the horizon of the future and building in the present the sovereign Homeland.”
