President Maduro commemorated Manuela Sáenz's birthday: An example of loyalty and courage!

The President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, commemorated this Saturday the birth of Manuela Sáenz, a prominent hero of Latin American independence and companion of the Liberator Simon Bolivar.

“On this day of honor and glory, we celebrate the birth of the immortal woman from Quito, the great Manuela Sáenz, born on December 27, 1797. Manuela, our heroine and leader, faithful companion of Liberator Simon Bolivar, a giant of the most just cause in history,” she said through her Telegram channel.

The head of state also recalled that Manuela Sáenz actively participated in the Junín and Ayacucho campaigns, being recognized as “General of our armies” and an example of loyalty and courage for the women and peoples of America.

He stressed that his liberating thought and work are still present in contemporary struggles, reaffirming the legacy of independence and resistance of Latin American peoples.
