The President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro Moros, during the meeting with the March of Communes and Social Movements in defense of Peace, pointed out that the solution to the electoral controversy that was presented to Venezuela after the cyber attacks against the National Electoral Council is in the hands of the Supreme Court of Justice, as established by the National Constitution.

“I went to the Electoral Chamber of the Supreme Court of Justice (TSJ), created according to article 297 of the National Constitution, to settle any electoral dispute, whether it be a Community Council, a trade union or of any kind,” stressed the Head of State from the Miraflores Palace.

He added that after identifying the coup d'etat, he activated a contentious remedy to resolve the conflict according to the National Constitution.

“Three days after the conspiracy of the extreme right was revealed, not recognizing the results issued by the Electoral Power, I went to the Supreme Court and everything is in the hands of this instance of the Judiciary,” he said.

The President asserted that the fascist coup was destined to undermine the constitution and the Powers of the Venezuelan State to fill the streets of Venezuela with violence.

“I believe in laws, in the Constitution and only through respect for national sovereignty and institutionality can we consolidate peace and coexistence,” he said.
