President Maduro: Every time we raise our National Flag, we reaffirm the Bolivarian commitment

President Nicolás Maduro commemorated National Flag Day and asked that it continue to fly in every corner of Venezuela as an emblem of popular victory, revolutionary resistance and peace.

“With patriotic fervor, we celebrate National Flag Day, a tribute to the feat of the Chief Admiral, Generalissimo Francisco de Miranda. It was he who, in La Vela de Coro, brought to the mainland the tricolor he designed to become the symbol of the triumphant armies of South America,” said the Head of State in a post on his Telegram channel.

He also assured that every time we raise our National Flag, we reaffirm the Bolivarian commitment and the fight for a free and socialist homeland. “Its colors - yellow, blue and red - are the ultimate expression of love for the nation and bear the history of glories and sacrifices of the People,” he said.

Maduro insisted that it is the duty of Venezuelans to defend “the beautiful history” and the legacy of the Liberators and the Liberators.
