President Maduro: I am proud of Venezuela's history of resistance and victory

The President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, highlighted this Saturday that he was proud of the history of struggle and resistance that Venezuela has accumulated in all these years of attacks and attempts at domination by North American imperialism.

“I am proud as a Venezuelan, as a Latin American and Caribbean, of the accumulated history of resistance, struggle and victory of this people who are here in Venezuela, today ready for great victories, for great battles in the times to come,” said the Head of State during a Meeting with the International Companions.

He also recalled that Venezuela has had to face the threats of the most powerful empires in the world. At the same time, he indicated that 500 years later we are still remembering our heroes of the original peoples who threw the Spanish Empire out of here.

“Today, 500 years later, we still remember his heroism and his ideas of justice, equality and freedom say that the accumulated history that creates the character and identity of peoples and I can tell them that it is like that (...) this is the people of the liberators,” he emphasized.
