The president of
the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, said this Friday that he
answered the call of the Electoral Chamber of the Supreme Court of Justice (TSJ)
as an ordinary citizen, for peace and the right to tranquility in the country
“I attended the
summons of the highest court of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, an independent and sovereign
republic not protected by anyone in this world, and I have
stripped myself of my immunities as head of State and Government, I have divested myself of any inauguration.
I am only the citizen Nicolás Maduro Moros (...) who
has attended the corresponding court summons for peace, I have come for the
stability and the right to tranquility in Venezuela,” said the Dignitary
in statements to the media.
After appearing
before the Electoral Chamber, the Head of State indicated that, as an ordinary citizen, he
answered “the legal interrogation that has been given to me, I have not shied away from
any questions from the judges and judges, magistrates and magistrates, in this historic contentious electoral
resource contained in this Constitution.”
He noted that they have come
before this instance, “to the court summons and they have complied with Law 9 of 10
candidates who participated in the electoral contest of July 28. Only one
candidate refused to show his face and to comply with justice, only one who
has not stood up to justice”, referring to the extremist Edmundo González
Urrutia.
