President Maduro: In 2025 the income indexation mechanism will be improved

This Wednesday, January 15, the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, announced that during the year 2025, “we are going to consolidate, to substantially improve, the comprehensive income of workers and their purchasing power, preserving with firmness and great efforts the mechanism of indexing comprehensive income.”

“It's the only mechanism in the world. Only Venezuela has that mechanism for its working class,” she emphasized at the Teresa Carreño Theater, where she gave her Annual Message to the Nation, as established in article 237 of the National Constitution.

He explained that the formula for indexing the full income of workers is the mechanism created to face the damage of the economic blockade and illegal coercive measures, which in 2024 was deepened, but depends on the country's income.

“2025 will be one of comprehensive advances,” he said.
