The President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro Moros, commemorated the 21st anniversary of the creation of the Bolivarian Alliance for the Peoples of Our America (ALBA).

Through his Telegram channel, the head of state specified that this block was born “as a response to the FTAA and its attempt to colonize our economy; neoliberalism was defeated”.

He also pointed out that imperialism seeks to dominate “not only our America, but the entire world. Know that, in Latin America and the Caribbean, the colonizing project will not pass.”

Last Sunday, the President inaugurated the 25th Virtual Summit of the Bolivarian Alliance for the Peoples of America - Peoples' Trade Agreement (ALBA-TCP) in Caracas, from where he assured “that it is a stellar moment to defend and set an example of how international law and the right of the peoples of South America and the Caribbean to have a homeland in the face of imperialist abuses are defended”.
