The President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, stressed that influencers are controlled by the owners of social networks, “I like to speak the truth, no one will shut me up, I will name each one of them with a first and last name”.

He stressed that the extremist sectors of the right and US imperialism use national and international influencers to manipulate the minds of Venezuelans, and explained that “this action seeks to generate violence and destabilization in the country.”

In that sense, he downplayed the intention of the Venezuelan influencer and singer Lele Pons, who “wants from Miami, with a concert on Saturday, to impose a government in Venezuela”.

“Who said that Lele Pons is a politician? And the artists who are calling, just like the Cucuta concert (...) are looking to be seen on the networks and influence people's minds,” he said.

For that reason, he warned the people to protect themselves from possible attempts at manipulation.

During a Meeting of the Entrepreneurial Engine, to continue promoting the economy and policies in favor of Venezuelan entrepreneurship, he said in response to Lele Pons, “don't underestimate the people of Venezuela, you don't know their spiritual strength.”

“You can conspire from Miami, but in Venezuela the Venezuelans rule,” he emphasized.

He ratified the maxim that “whoever messes with Venezuela dries up”, recalling that the artists who participated in the 2019 concert, held in Cúcut, “were all soaked forever”.

“They look for the artists you search for on the networks because we like them, and then they look for the artist and they blackmail him,” he said.
