The President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, led this Tuesday the Joint Meeting of the National Security and Defense Council and the Council of State, in the face of the destabilizing actions carried out by the extreme right in the country.

From the Miraflores Palace, the Head of State stated that “the representatives of the Constitution, the guarantors of legality, constitutionality, peace of the Republic, the internal life of the country (...) are at this meeting to evaluate a set of elements about the events of recent days, weighing opinions of a geopolitical, institutional, social and communicational nature”.

In this regard, he pointed out that “we are experiencing an attempt to mass destabilize Venezuela. We reported it in time since 2023, 2024, that an attempt was going to be made to use the electoral campaign, with funding from the United States and Colombian drug trafficking, to mount a shock force full of hate, crime and violence and to try before, during or after the electoral process of July 28, to attack people's peace, against the peace of citizens, against institutions and to attack everything,” he warned.
