The President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro Moros, praised the participation of a group of Venezuelan scientists in the scientific expedition project promoted by the People's Republic of China.
“We are taking a leap as a nation, the people can be proud that Venezuela is participating with China in a scientific expedition to Mars, many will be envious,” he said during his program With Maduro+ in his 96 broadcast.
“Step by step, we are training a new generation of Venezuelan scientists connected to the space age. We are making progress on many things that Commander Chávez left defined and decided,” he said, while highlighting the efforts being carried out by the Bolivarian Government in training scientists who contribute to development and innovation in the country.
He specified that currently the Great Science, Technology and Innovation Mission “Humberto Fernández Morán” has 65,000 scientists and more than 500,000 boys, girls and young people training in the Scientific Seedbeds.
“We have managed to synchronize a country project in full development with its seven fundamental and structural vital lines of transformation with the most advanced scientific knowledge that Venezuela has ever had, articulated with the most advanced scientific knowledge in the world, and evidence of this is this Mars exploration project where Venezuela says present! with their scientists,” he said.
The Tiamwen-3 Mission aims to amartize and collect samples of the red planet to be brought to Earth. The launch date of this probe is scheduled for 2028 and will last no less than 18 months.
