President Maduro: Long live the unbreakable friendship of Cuba and Venezuela!

This Saturday, December 13, the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, recalled the first visit of Commander Hugo Chávez to Cuba, where he was greeted with the embrace of the giant, Fidel Castro Ruz.

“We remember 31 years of an historic day: Commander Chávez's first visit to Cuba. That courageous and revolutionary young man fulfilled his dream of going to the island for the first time, even though he himself confessed to having traveled many times in his dreams to the Sierra Maestra,” he said, stressing that this was an unforgettable night for the Leader of the Bolivarian Revolution.

In addition, through his Telegram channel, he highlighted that that first encounter that “embodied Bolívar's legacy with the man who raised Martí's flags, marked the beginning of a friendship that continues to be consolidated today”.

“They met to unite forever and unite the anti-imperialist and anti-colonialist dreams of our peoples. This embrace founded a model relationship that has united the destinies of Cuba and Venezuela forever, under the principles of dignity, courage and brotherhood. Long live the unbreakable friendship of Cuba and Venezuela! Long live Chávez and Fidel!” , ratified.
