President Maduro meets in Kingston with his Brazilian counterpart Lula da Silva (+CELAC)

The President of
the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, held a
meeting this Friday with his counterpart from the Federative Republic of Brazil, Luiz
Inácio Lula da Silva, regarding the VIII Summit of the Community of
Latin American and Caribbean States (CELAC), which is being held in Kingston, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines.
During the
meeting, they reviewed the strategic cooperation agenda between the two countries, following
an extensive work agenda between the two leaders, carried out in May 2023,
when the signing of strategic agreements for the development of both nations took place.
At that time, a Memorandum of Understanding
was signed on agri-food matters,
motivated by the political will to explore opportunities and deepen
exchanges in the areas of agriculture, livestock, sovereignty and food and nutrition security.
In addition, the Memorandum of Understanding for the Establishment of
the Monitoring and Monitoring Mechanism of the Brazil-Venezuela Bilateral Cooperation Program was
signed.
