President Maduro on ALBA: It's a great project of union and emancipation

This
Sunday, December 14, the President of the Bolivarian Republic, Nicolás
Maduro, inaugurated the 25th Virtual Summit of the Bolivarian Alliance for the Peoples of America -
Peoples' Trade Agreement (ALBA-TCP) in Caracas, on the occasion of the 21st anniversary of its creation.
During his
speech, the head of state highlighted the ALBA-TCP as a “great project of
union, of emancipation, of multidimensional liberation of our people, in a
time of wonderful challenges”.
He also
stressed that this meeting is conducive to defending stability and the
right to economic, social and multidimensional development of peoples. At the
same time, he pointed out that it is a stellar moment to defend and set an example of how
international law and the right of the peoples of South America
and the Caribbean to have a homeland in the face of imperialist abuses are defended.
In addition,
he indicated that it will serve to continue coordinating plans and that they are implemented in a concrete
way in the fields already established.
“This year
2025 has been a good year for this organization, trade
with the first Alba Ship has been boosted, an example of what could be the first Commercial
Naval Fleet,” he said, noting that it has served to clarify the picture and
specify the plans that have already been proposed and continue to advance our agenda.
The Presidents and Diplomatic Authorities of Cuba, Bolivia, Nicaragua, Dominica, Antigua and Barbuda, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Saint Kitts and Nevis, Grenada and Saint Lucia participate in the Summit.
