The President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, instructed that a leadership school be established in the country to train Venezuelan and Latin American women, which should bear the name of Nora Castañeda, in honor of this great revolutionary militant.
“We must educate, we must force a new female leadership, from deep Venezuela, in honesty, in ethics, in cultural identity. The day has to come when we say that in Venezuela there are millions of women leaders exercising power, holding the reins of the country,” he said during the opening ceremony of the Walk of the Heroines of Resistance and Independence in the Paseo Monumental de los Próceres, Fuerte Tiuna.
In this regard, the President emphasized that “the greatest power that exists is that of education”, which is why he drew attention to training women in issues related to leadership, organization and entrepreneurship. “Education is the best way to prepare for the future,” he stressed.
