President Maduro ordered to activate the operation of the Onia bridge that connects Mérida and Táchira

The President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, issued instructions to activate the passage through the Onia bridge that connects the states of Mérida and Táchira, before the completion of the construction work.

In that sense, he ordered that “proceed to open it and that the communication of El Vigía with the state of Táchira begin, a word committed, a word fulfilled”.

The activation was made in El Vigía, in the municipality of Alberto Adrian i in the state of Mérida, during the closing of his electoral campaign for the Presidential Election on July 28, where he commented that he had committed himself as head of state, to some works, including the aforementioned bridge.

He also announced the start of the Asphalt Plan in the Presidente Páez parish, in the Alberto Adrian municipality and in the Pan-American Axis of the Onia and Guarurías Section.

He also referred to the issue of water from 11 wells, “seven are now operational and the other four should be finished soon”.

The National President reported on the provision and strengthening of the University Hospital of Los Andes, “moving forward and completed in its first phase”.

Another commitment, he said, is that “I committed myself to installing 50 magawatts for El Vigía for solar energy in eight months, work has already started, we already have one megawatt, powering 20 buildings with solar energy.”

“I have ordered that work be accelerated,” while showing the people one of the solar panels that are being installed, you will have your 50 megawatts to strengthen the stability of the El Vigía Electric System and all of Mérida,” he said.

He warned that “they take care of him, fly with the saboteurs”.
