This Wednesday, December 17, the President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro Moros, assured that in the 80s the ideas and the rebellious heart of our people pointed to the last popular and democratic revolution in Latin America and then it would be the first Bolivarian and democratic revolution of the 21st century.

This was stated at the ceremony of delivery of the rehabilitated spaces at the headquarters of the Bolivarian Society of Venezuela, on the occasion of the 195th anniversary of the passage to immortality of the Liberator of the Fatherland, Simon Bolivar.

“Historical processes are accumulating feelings and ideas and they are fortunate that leadership emerges from them (...) The entire historical process that Venezuela experienced at the end of the 80s, once the spiritual energy of the Bolivarian cycle (which runs from 1983 to 2023) was activated, all that force found a way and a result so that our people would never be betrayed in their trust,” he said.

The Head of State added that “today, 200 years after the birth of Bolívar, Pablo Neruda's prophecy is fulfilled, who says that Bolívar wakes up every 100 years when the peoples wake up and ours woke up to never sleep, and to remain in constant constant vigilance and struggle.”
