President Nicolás Maduro reported that the acts with which they wanted to generate violence in Caracas during the closing of election day were broadcast live on CNN and Bloomberg.
“Media that never broadcast live did so to show the faces of hate, saying that there was tension in Caracas,” said Maduro.
He also argued that the extreme right's plan was always the electoral blackout, “because if the results were not released, they intended to set fire to Venezuela and who knows what other surprise they would have.”
“To every surprise, there is a response from the Bolivarian National Armed Forces, make no mistake with us, we are determined to be free, we defend peace, the Constitution, the laws and the permanently mobilized people,” he added.
The President said that there was a massive attack like never before on the Data Transmission System of the National Electoral Council (CNE), attacks on the CNE website and international organizations have no opinion and are silent.
“We fought the electoral assaults, but no one says outside the burned minutes, and they intended to remove the light from the country at seven o'clock in the evening, but whoever eats the light there will be no pardon, hate crimes and violence will be punished with the law and the Constitution,” he said.
