President Maduro proposes a congress to the PSUV and the GPPSB to determine a method for choosing candidates

President Nicolás Maduro, during the commemoration of the 67th anniversary of the Popular Insurrection of January 23, 1958, asked the revolutionary factors to organize a meeting to determine the manner of election of candidates for the different positions of popular election.

“I gave the order to the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), and I propose to the Great Patriotic Pole Simon Bolivar (GPPSB), to hold a congress to choose the method with which we are going to select the candidates for the elections that are going to be called by the National Electoral Council,” said the president.

He asserted that he wants a process of renewal in the collective leadership of the Bolivarian Revolution so that this new breed of leaders go to the National Assembly and all elected offices.
