President Maduro received the WBC lightweight world champion Carlos Cañizales in Miraflores

President Nicolás Maduro received at the Miraflores Palace the world lightweight champion of the World Boxing Council (WBC), the Venezuelan Carlos Cañizales.
The Head of State, accompanied by the first fighter, Cilia Flores, and other authorities received Cañizales, together with his family and trainers, in the Simón Bolívar room.
Cañizales presented the National President with autographed gloves.
The Venezuelan boxer defeated Thai Panya Pradabari by knockout in the fifth round in a fight at the Poliedro de Caracas and regained the world title of Minimflyweight.
With this new victory, 32-year-old Cañizales has a record of 28 wins, 20 of them by knockout, three losses and a draw in 32 games.
