This Sunday, February 09, the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, lamented the physical departure of the historic nationalist leader of Namibia, Sam Nujoma.

“My message of brotherhood in the face of the bitter physical departure of Sam Nujoma, historic nationalist leader. I remember the “founding father” of Namibia, since together with the people he conquered their independence and governed in a dignified and sovereign manner,” said the Head of State through his Telegram channel.

He also highlighted the efforts of the Namibian leader for national reconciliation, economic development and the consolidation of his country's independence. This is why, “Venezuela, close to its struggle, we give him the Francisco de Miranda Order while alive, a Bolivarian and Chavista honor to such an upright and courageous man”.

“May your legacy endure in the history of Namibia, Africa and in us, friendly countries of the entire Global South, for being a symbol of struggle, unity and hope. We will win with you, dear Tatekulu!” , he noted.
