This Wednesday, October 29, the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, highlighted that some left-wing governments, when they manage to come to power and govern a country, their management is based on managing the power of the bourgeoisie.

“There is a debate, the left says that we must take power, it's okay let's take power, but sometimes left-wing governments arrive, they govern and what they do is manage the power of the bourgeoisie,” he emphasized.

In that sense, he argued that “they don't transform anything, on the other hand, our Commander Hugo Chávez arrived and the Bolivarian Revolution not only to take power, but to hand over power to the People.”

He also stressed that it is even a new power, “People's Power, the power of the People, for there to be true democracy, ordinary people must have power.”

The approach was made in the Brisas de Petare sector, during his visit to the Comuna De Cara al Rio, where he evaluated the actions and works promoted by Popular Power, as a model of self-government and productive development.

“We are delivering the works that the town itself is building. It's impressive how we're making progress in building the power that belongs to him,” he said.
