President Maduro: Sport generates values for children and young people to love humanity

This Sunday, the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, highlighted the success of the “East 2024” National Games, which are held from November 8 to 24, in Anzoátegui, Monagas and Sucre, where more than 10,000 athletes participate, including 99 from Guiana Essequiba.

The head of state wrote on his Telegram channel:: Tremendous success of the “East 2024” National Games! sport must be a cool, positive and motivating alternative that generates discipline and values in children and young people so that they can move towards a beautiful, stable and peaceful country”.

The Minister of Popular Power for Sports and president of the National Sports Institute (IND), Arnaldo Sánchez, before starting this sports day, stressed that for the first time the states of the east of the country came together to organize this meeting for the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic Games.

Sánchez, reported that more than 30 facilities have been equipped to ensure the good development of this sports festival.

To date, the Bolivarian state of Miranda leads the medal table with 66 gold, 44 silver and 41 bronze medals with a total of 151 medals, the second is occupied by Carabobo with 41 gold, 38 silver and 39 bronze medals, with 118 for his repertoire and third place in Caracas with a full of 104, distributed in 33 gold, 41 silver and 30 bronze.
