President Nicolás Maduro gave a big boost to his Brazilian counterpart, Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, regarding his speech at the start of the G20 summit.
“I have heard President Lula's statements at the G20. It was a historic speech, it made an extraordinary assessment. He drew attention to the scenario of more poverty and hunger, so he proposed a global alliance against hunger,” he said.
The National President indicated that he asked the foreign minister to issue a statement expressing Venezuela's support for this proposal of the Brazilian president.
“Modestly, and with our experience of the CLAP, the School Feeding Plan (PAE) and the other food programs created by Commander Chávez, we are also prepared to join the great alliance against hunger and poverty convened by Lula da Silva.”
“They are Buenos Aires coming from Rio de Janeiro about the global geopolitical situation,” he said.
