President Maduro: Telecommunications sector achieved significant growth of 7% in 2024

This Tuesday, April 08, the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, highlighted that the Venezuelan Telecommunications Engine is one of the engines that has grown the most not only in terms of services, in terms of users, but also qualitatively.
“The telecommunications sector in Venezuela has this characteristic, and this Engine has a figure that is important, but it may sound cold, since last year our real economy grew above 9% and this sector grew by 7%,” he explained at the Caracas Polyhedron, where he leads the activation of the Telecommunications Engine and New Technologies, within the framework of the International Telecommunications Fair 2025.
In this regard, he said that such growth “is very important in any country, especially in the new era that humanity is living, in which communication technology and telecommunications services mark the economic revolution that humanity is experiencing today.”
He specified that “this is the second time we are holding this special event”, referring to the aforementioned Fair.
