President Maduro thanks his Ugandan counterpart for support and cooperation ties with Venezuela

The President of the Bolivarian
Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro thanked his
Ugandan counterpart, Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, for his congratulations to the
Venezuelan people, who expressed their sovereign will on July 28, 2024 in the electoral elections.
After a letter
sent by Kaguta Museveni, the Bolivarian leader highlighted “unity in
brotherhood, friendship and mutual cooperation between peoples”, as well as the
“strengthening and progress towards development of both nations”.
In the letter, the
president of the African country recognizes the triumph of the Venezuelan dignitary and
points out that “his election is a sign of the security and confidence in their
competencies on the part of the voters of Venezuela”.
Museveni
expressed interest in continuing to collaborate with President Maduro “in expanding
consultations within regional, continental and international organizations.”
In this regard,
he highlighted the intention to strengthen cooperation at the multilateral level “
through our joint membership in the United Nations (UN) and the
Movement of Non-Aligned Countries (MNOAL), among others.
