The president of
the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, sent a message this Friday
to all the fighters of the country and the world, when International Women's
Day is celebrated on March 8.
“The 21st century has
been a good century for Venezuelan women, who now have
community leadership, the positive, cool leadership of all projects to move our country
forward. Today, Venezuelan women are truly
visible, recognized, empowered,” said the head of state in an audio
broadcast through his social networks.
In this regard,
he recalled that, “precisely representing and embodying historical roots,
today (March 8) we are going to the Pantheon (National) to bring Eulalia Buroz, a hero from the east of the country, and Josefa Joaquina Sánchez, one
of the liberators of Venezuela. We're going
to take them because they have to be there in the Pantheon next to all
our Liberators.”
The Dignitary
said that an assembly will also be held with all the
women's movements in the country, “with the Great Venezuela Women's Mission, with good and important
announcements of what we have been activating.”
