The President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, emphasized that the Bolivarian Government is pursuing the future, uniting, building, moving forward and always overcoming difficulties.
“We continue on the path of the future, uniting, building, moving forward and always overcoming difficulties, facing whatever we have to face,” he said.
In that sense, he maintained that above all he has “an immense, gigantic faith in the capacities of our people, of our youth and to continue building a Venezuela of permanent and shared happiness.”
The statement he made during the editorial of his program “With Maduro +”, in its 53rd edition of the third season, highlighted the meeting he held with revolutionary youth, in the outdoor spaces of the Miraflores Palace, where he hosted the Great March of Venezuelan Youth and Students for the Defense of Peace.
“The youth called themselves, it rained three times and they arrived in Miraflores, their house, the house of the youth and the people,” he said.
He commented that he welcomed the young people with whom he spent some time “and I got the wet out of the century”, since it was raining heavily, however, the revolutionary youth stood firm during the day.
The head of state also recalled that this Tuesday, August 6, marks the 200th anniversary of the Battle and Victory of Junín. “The last great military battle that the greatest leader our America has had in all centuries: Simon Bolivar,” he said.
He stressed that 200 years later, “Junín is in force and the battle is the same: Freedom or slaves; independence or colony; and if the battle is the same, between Bolivar and Sucre, the result will be the same, the victory of the patriots, of the Great Homeland”.
