President Maduro: The Economic Emergency Decree will protect the country's economy

The President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, reported that he is reviewing and this Tuesday, April 08, he will sign the Economic Emergency Decree, which will allow the Bolivarian Government to hold the reins and protect the economy for the benefit of the national industry and guarantee the provision of essential goods and services to the population.
The Economic Emergency Decree was presented by the Executive Vice President of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez, during the Digital Zone segment, in the broadcast of the 75th edition of the program “With Maduro+”.
The head of state stressed that “this is a wonderful idea, I officially receive this Decree from the rector of the economy”.
“It is a constitutional resource that I fully used in 2016, in 2020, when the pandemic arrived, it is a declaration of economic emergency, in which I assume extraordinary special constitutional functions to advance the defense of the Venezuelan economy in its promotion and development,” he said.
He added that in this way he will have all the instruments, that “in addition, we have in consensus with all the productive sectors of the country, we will explain step by step so that we can also succeed in how we came out in 2016 and the pandemic (COVID-19)”.
