The President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, said that the Miraflores Palace belongs to the town of Ezequiel Zamora, “this house was tainted during 168 years of oligarchy treason.”

He specified that this betrayal was on the part, “first of the landowners and then by the oligarchy of those who sold their last names until 25 years ago, the People took their Commander Hugo Chávez, to President.”

“I swear by these four crosses that this Presidential House will never fall into the hands of a puppet of the oligarchy or imperialism,” he emphasized when he received the Grand March in the outdoor spaces of the Miraflores Palace on the occasion of the 165th Anniversary of the Battle of Santa Inés.

“This house is the House of the People, for now and forever,” he said.

The head of state, upon receiving the participants who were members of the mobilization of Popular Power and peasant movements in the country, welcomed them.

“Long live the strength of Ezequiel Zamora, long live the victory of Saint Agnes,” he emphasized.
