President Maduro: The need to preserve peace in our region is a strong and recurring theme

The President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, stressed the need to preserve peace in South America with care and good joint efforts, “it is a strong and recurring theme.”

“This is what I have said to President Petro every time we have spoken,” he said.

This was stated by the head of state at the Miraflores Palace, at the conclusion of the working meeting he held with the Colombian president Gustavo Petro.

In that regard, he said that “I thank President Gustavo Petro for this good meeting we had, a good conversation with our work teams and also a good conversation in private”.

He also highlighted that a review was made of how the relationship between Venezuela and Colombia is progressing, as well as “the new opportunities that are opening up in all fields of transport, trade, economy, alternative and traditional energies, joint investments and projects that must continue the path of encounter and permanent reunion between two peoples who are one”.
