President Maduro to the People of Venezuela: Merry Christmas! Long live Peace! Viva la Vida!

During his Christmas message to the Venezuelan people, the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, highlighted that he forged himself in the streets of Caracas next to the Town, “next to the drums of Mandinga, Ricardo and the Madera Group that raised their voice of rebellion”

“This is the time of the rebirth of Venezuela, God always by our side, his tests have always made us better people, they have turned us all into a better country. I feel that way, I think so,” he said.

The head of state said that “this is the land of the Saints, of the wise and the courageous patriots, like José Gregorio Hernández, like Saint Carmen Rendiles and like the neighbors of every commune, of each community, who now write and sing their own song, because now they have a voice and a conscience”.

He stated that Venezuelans have been gifted by God, “with a good and victorious soul, so listening to that melody is a blessing that life offers us. A voice full of truth and optimism like the girl or boy who is born today under the Star of Bethlehem.”

Finally, he expressed his wish “so that tonight and this Christmas our Lord Jesus Christ knocks on your door to open the door and receive his eternal blessings and we say to you from here from the neighborhoods of Caracas: Merry Christmas! Long live Peace! Long Live Life!”
