President Maduro to the People: With the Civic-Military-Police Union we are acting

The President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, addressing the Venezuelan people, assured that “with the Civic-Military-Police Union we are acting.”

In a message to the country, he stressed that he has been following up on all the acts of violence promoted by the extremist right.

“We know this film, because we know that modus operandi, which was used for the April 2002 coup, for the first guarimba of February 27, 2004, for the violent actions called by Capriles, one day after the Presidential Elections of April 14, and the actions of the so-called “La Salida”, reissued in 2017,” he recalled.

He noted that “we knew the plan, before, during and after July 28, they did everything possible for a violent scenario, of advanced sabotage, of public services, all before July 28, to have the elections suspended.”

“Yesterday they attacked two strategic points in the Electrical System for a blackout at 12 noon and at 8:00 at night. They wanted to turn off the country,” he said.
