The President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro Moros, ratified his willingness to engage in “face to face” dialogue with his counterpart Donald Trump, in response to statements made by the American president who pointed out the possibility of establishing talks with the Venezuelan Executive.
“Whoever wants to talk to Venezuela will talk 'face to face', face to face without any problem,” he reiterated and remarked that in the leadership of the Bolivarian Government “they will always find people of their word, decent people and people with experience to lead Venezuela.”
He insisted on the importance of maintaining dialogue and diplomacy as the main premises for relations between countries and avoiding warmongering and interference.
“Eternal wars are an endless abyss, they are the basis of destruction and death as they were in Vietnam, heroic Vietnam, in Afghanistan, in Iraq, in Libya and stop counting. That is not the path the path of the rest of the 21st century,” he said, while highlighting the spirit of unity that has emerged in the country for the defense of peace.
“In Venezuela, the spirit of national unity has been lifted in these 16 weeks. We have achieved things that we haven't seen in a century; the total union of the Venezuelan population, of the People of Venezuela. Today we have and you should know the President of the United States, there are the measurements, 94% of this country rejects military threats, more than 90% rejects those old Carcamanes and Carcamanas like Juan Guaidó, the new Juan Guaidó who is the lady (María Corina) Machado known as La Sayona, Leopoldo López, 25-year-old failures who have tried to assault the political power of Venezuela and now he wants the Marines to come in and hand over power to them, more! 90% reject them!” , he pointed out.
