President Maduro urged Movistar and Digitel to join together to accelerate 5G service “at all levels”

The president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, urged private telecommunications companies Movistar and Digitel on Tuesday to accelerate 5G service across the country.

“Leading by example, I invite Movistar and Digitel in a very special way to accelerate 5G service at all levels and join Movistar, Digitel, Movilnet, the three little brown sisters, to work for 5G and prepare for the future,” said the Head of State during the launch of the Telecommunications Engine and New Technologies.

He pointed out that we are already in the era of artificial intelligence. Venezuela is working on its sovereign artificial intelligence models. Step by step. We're moving forward with teams, with things here, there.”
