The Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean (ECLAC) indicated that Venezuela leads, as a major engine, economic growth in Latin America and the Caribbean.
Through a post on his Telegram channel, President Nicolás Maduro highlighted that Venezuela has strategic food reserves for 4 months. “Never before in the history of Venezuela have we had that amount of national reserves,” he said.
“The Venezuelan productive forces have prospered and must continue to do so to meet the needs of our people,” he added.
The head of state recalled that ECLAC estimates Venezuela's economic growth to be above 6%, “but that growth will be around 9% of Gross Domestic Product.”
He asserted that trade in the country has increased by 34% this year. “It's the only country in the entire Latin American and Caribbean region with that big increase,” he said.
