The president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, announced that a film will be made about the history of patriots Joaquina Sánchez and José María España.

In this regard, he reported that for the making of the film he will have a specialized team of historians, the Ministry of Culture, the National Institute of Cinematography, writers from the state of La Guaira, among others.

He described the life of these great revolutionaries as beautiful, in which the Venezuelan people must know in depth because they are part of the first struggles for the independence of Venezuela.

“Sometimes you spend time watching movies on Netflix that lie about Venezuela and in movie theaters,” he pointed out while urging that the true history of Venezuela be disseminated through audiovisual works.
