On Monday night, November 3rd, the president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro Moros, reported that up to the month of October, the security forces of the Venezuelan State have managed to seize, destroy and burn 63 tons of drugs.

The Head of State pointed out that the biggest combat of the Venezuelan security forces takes place in Catatumbo, in Táchira, in Apure, in La Guajira and in the Caribbean.

Venezuela is a fairly healthy society (...), with very low consumption of any type of drug, so everything that is said in the north, that they are being used to attack Venezuela, the dignity, decency and ethics of our country, is simply denied by concrete achievements,” he said.

From the goal of 100 tons of drugs to be seized, according to international reports from the United Nations (UN), which indicate that only 5% of traffic in the region is being tried to pass from Colombia to Venezuela, “there is little left to reach this figure,” said the Head of State.

For his part, the sectoral vice-president for Politics, Public Security and Peace, Diosdado Cabello, added that to date there are a significant number of people arrested, in addition to the confiscation of their equipment, such as 300 horsepower boats and engines, which are now used by the Bolivarian Revolution to defend the entire national territory.
