President Maduro: We have to take care of the minds of our children and young people on social networks

The president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, proposed to discuss the regulation of social networks due to the negative consequences that their content generates on children and adolescents.

“We have to take care of the minds of our children and young people. I opened a debate: should we regulate TikTok and all social networks? I trust you, boys and girls, I will do what the Student Movement orders me to do”, emphasized the Head of State through his Telegram channel.

These actions were taken by the National President, after where two children died and about 300 people were poisoned because of viral challenges on social networks.

It should be noted that on December 19, the board of directors of the National Assembly (AN) decided to form a Special Commission to initiate legislation from Parliament on social networks and the impact they have on children and adolescents.
