The President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, confirmed that this Tuesday, April 09, he will have a meeting with his Colombian counterpart, Gustavo Petro, in Venezuelan territory and announced that a joint work agenda is already planned.

He argued that Caracas and Bogotá have great joint objectives and no one will separate them.

During the 40th edition of the program “With Maduro+”, he said that “let's not make abnormal or scandalize any differences that may exist, life is beautiful when there are differences of criteria, no one will separate us from Colombia, we have great objectives to achieve together, to advance the economy, trade, peace”.

Referring to the work agenda, he specified that “we will surely delve into energy, gas, oil, border security projects, projects to increase the issue of trade, economic and diplomatic cooperation.”

He also mentioned “the assault on the Embassy of Mexico in Ecuador, the issue of Palestine, the strengthening of CELAC (Community of Latin American and Caribbean States), there are many points in common and if there are any differences, welcome the difference”.

The head of state referred to the meeting held between the Venezuelan foreign ministers, Yván Gil and his Colombian counterpart, Luis Murillo, in Cucuta, Colombia, to participate in the first meeting of the monitoring mechanism of the Neighborhood and Integration Commission.

In this regard, he noted that both countries are ready to consolidate new projects that promote mutual prosperity.
