In a deployment of civic-military union from the mountains of Macarao, President Nicolás Maduro formally initiated the National Planting Plan, with the goal of reaching 10 million trees by the year 2026.

This joint effort seeks to rescue the planting of traditional, fruit and medicinal species that are part of the identity and knowledge inherited from Venezuelan grandmothers.

The meeting, held at the Commune For Love and Loyalty to Chávez, marked the beginning of an accelerated productive phase for all the country's communes, integrating ancient wisdom and popular power in the construction of a green homeland.

The activity was attended by the First Lady, Cilia Flores; the sectoral vice-president of Science, Technology, Ecosocialism and Health, Gabriela Jiménez; the Minister of Popular Power for Agriculture and Lands, Juan Carlos Loyo; and the head of the Great Mother Earth Venezuela Mission, Ricardo Molina. In addition, the president of the Tree Mission, Rosinés Chávez, and other authorities participated.

This commune, constituted in 2018 and made up of 14 Community Councils that integrate both urban planning and neighborhoods, is projected as a model center for food production for the capital. During the day, coffee, avocado and cocoa seedlings were delivered as a symbol of the commitment to food sovereignty and the transformation of urban spaces into highly productive territories.

As part of the expansion strategy, the creation of a productive corridor was announced to generate an efficient network for the production of cheese, chicken, meat, eggs, coriander and chili pepper, among other items.

The objective is to ensure that the inputs necessary for the consumption of the community and of Caracas are produced directly by the organized people. With this initiative, the Bolivarian Government closes a year of victory and progress, laying the foundations for a productive Venezuela for the 2026 cycle.
