President Nicolás Maduro, commemorating the 195 years since the planting of the father of the Fatherland, Simon Bolivar, visited the headquarters of the Bolivarian Society of Venezuela, which had its infrastructure and works of art repaired.

During this activity, the Head of State received the stole as honorary president of the Bolivarian Society of Venezuela, as well as a decoration that accredits him as the “Builder of Peace” and for fulfilling the objective of imparting the thoughts and ideas of the Liberator of America Simon Bolivar to citizens.

The headquarters of the Bolivarian Society is located between the corners of Traposos and San Jacinto, next to the Casa del Libertador, in Caracas. It also has branches in all 23 states of the country as well as in countries in Latin America, Europe and Asia (65 nations in total).

In 2010, the then president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Supreme Commander Hugo Rafael Chávez Frías, proposed the name of the Bicentennial Bolivarian Student Society, in the context of the 200th anniversary of April 19, when the declaration of independence is celebrated.
