President Nicolás Maduro leads event in Guárico for the 8th Anniversary of the CLAP

The President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, leads from the Bolivarian Dome of the Olympic Village, in San Juan de los Morros, in the state of Guárico, the event on the occasion of the celebration of the 8th Anniversary of the Local Supply and Production Committees (CLAP).
The commemoration takes place within the framework of the National Food Day, claiming “the miracle of a people who decided not to give in to imperialist blackmail and that produces their own livelihood”.
The head of state thanked the people of Guárico for their warm and extraordinary reception.
He recalled that the CLAP were born in 2016 as a response to aggressions and economic war against the Venezuelan people.
More than 2 thousand tons of food, equivalent to more than 130 million CLAP combos and Protein Plan products, were distributed nationwide during 2023. The goal this year is to achieve 100% of domestic production.
