President Nicolás Maduro sends congratulations to Xi Jinping and the Chinese people for a new lunar year

The President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, has sent a message of congratulations to the People and Government of China for the Chinese New Year, which corresponds to the snake according to the calendar of this Asian region.

“On behalf of Venezuela and the Bolivarian Government, I extend my warmest congratulations and an embrace of brotherhood to the Chinese People and to President Xi Jinping. China, a power for peace, coexistence, cooperation and shared development. We celebrate with you the Lunar New Year, the Year of the Snake. We are Brother Peoples, building a new 21st century, with a shared destiny. Our Embrace!” , wrote the national president in a message on his account on the social network Telegram.

The Chinese New Year, also called Spring Festival, is the most important traditional holiday of the year in the Chinese calendar, also celebrated in other countries in East and Southeast Asia.

The year 2025 is celebrated in Chinese culture as the year 4723, the year of the Snake.
