In Venezuela there is a constitutionalist government that trusts the People, which is why more than 31 elections have been called in the last 25 years, said the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro.

“Many people around the world ask us why you, subject to 930 criminal sanctions, because you were subject to psychological, political and diplomatic warfare, you called presidential elections under those conditions. I tell them because we are constitutionalists, because we strictly comply with the Constitution, because we trust the People and because we wanted to,” he said.

In this regard, he said that in 2025, in accordance with our Magna Carta, three elections will be held, namely the National Assembly, mayors and governorates.

“In the coming days, the National Assembly will convene the national political dialogue table, together with the National Electoral Council to evaluate the electoral schedule and set dates on the schedule for the elections. I think it's very good,” he said, while advocating that they be made “little spaces, separately”.
