This Thursday, August 08, the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, said that where there is a strengthened Commune and an active and consolidated Community Council, “fascism doesn't come there.”
He stressed that Venezuela's greatest vaccine “against cybernetic, fascist and criminal coup d'etat is to consolidate communal power throughout the national territory.”
This was emphasized at the Miraflores Palace, where he received the mobilization of the Communes and Social Movements, in defense of peace and in defense of his presidential re-election.
“It's time to keep building, to keep dreaming and working. It's time to continue joining forces there in the territory. It's time to defend the right to peace in every territory,” he said.
The head of state affirmed that it is essential to defend above all else the right to peace. “There was an ambush against peace and it was intended through a cyber coup to spread a fascist campaign, to intimidate the people,” he added.
“Many of you were threatened and we are not going to let go of the fascist threat,” he said.
He added that the objective of the coup attempt, “is to steal our sovereignty and independence, and the right to the future of the people of Venezuela.”
