President of Colombia accuses Trump of unleashing an ethnic war in the US: “The same as Hitler to the Jews”

The president of Colombia, Gustavo Petro, accused his American counterpart, Donald Trump, of unleashing an “ethnic war” against Latin American migrants in the United States (USA), “the same as Hitler against Jews”.

Through a post on his platform X account, Petro rejected the deployment of National Guard soldiers in the North American city of Chicago, sent to suppress protests against immigration raids.

The reaction of the New Granada head of state comes in response to US media reports of the use of tear gas and unidentified vehicles in raids by the Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).
