President of Colombia assured that the Cartel of the Suns is the Cartel of Bogotá and operates from Ecuador

The president of Colombia, Gustavo Petro, stated that the alleged drug trafficking organization called Cartel de los Soles is actually the Bogotá Cartel, made up of politicians from the capital who transferred operations to Ecuador.

“The Cartel de Los Soles is the Cartel of Bogotá, with Bogotá politicians, beware!” , he said during a recent interview with journalist Daniel Coronell, from Univision.

Petro pointed out that “in Ecuador there is a double homicide rate in Colombia because the gangsters whose capital was in Bogotá, not in Caracas, and they live in Dubai, and you know who they are, and until now they are starting to talk about them, because the great Bogotá politicians were their allies, and then the Public Prosecutor's Office did not mention their names in the processes, because they went to Ecuador in their businesses, and Ecuador is in prison of violence”.

The president's reaction comes after allegations from the United States (USA) against Colombia and Venezuela for their alleged link with drug trafficking groups in Latin America.
